Do you support small businesses? I often wonder why it sometimes takes small businesses so long to get to the next level. .. The answer is simple, many people do not support small businesses. They are constantly chasing the big name brands, paying absurd amounts of money and at times for products that no longer have great quality.
I enjoy supporting small businesses. Maybe it’s because I know what is it like to be a small business owner. Maybe it is because I think that many times the small business owner puts his or her entire heart in his or her product.
I wore this lovely turquoise earring and braclet to church on Sunday ( 4/11/18). I bought them in Jamaica last summer (2017), from the mother of a schoolmate from high school. I felt I had to share my purchase with others as well as to let my friend and his mother know that I am not only wearing the items but I really like them. I posted this picture on social media to show my support and to give some exposure.
It is especially dear to me to support small businesses owned by women. Cherry’s Jewelleries in Jamaica deserves some time in the spot light, even if it’s from an ordinary person like me.
Why do so many people chase after big brands? Why do they not support small businesses? Even when those businesses belong to their families and friends ? These are questions I often ask myself. …. Do you know?
