There is something timeless about love. It looks and feels better as time passes. There is something magical about love. It sees past our mishaps. There is something endless about love. It endures things unimaginable. There is something spectacular about love. Beyond the glitz and glamor, it’s just two people deciding each day to try a little harder than they did the day before.
Sometimes we must travel on roads we have never been on, knowing it’s the path we must take and the way we must go without hesitation. One bend at a time, discovering the new that awaits us. Seeking to find what’s around the bend, while purposefully taking time to discover all within the open and hidden crevices on the way there.
It is not always easy to have faith but faith is always easy to have. What do I mean by this? I may see a situation being impossible to face and or to overcome and though I know what faith is sometimes I believe in the concept of faith more than faith itself. Sometimes it is hard to hold on to that faith, especially in a tough situation.
However, faith is always easy to have because it is always available, if we just believe. It makes itself constantly present. Faith seeks us out. It knocks at our doors and windows, saying “I am hear, let me in.”
Live mindfully. Enjoy the happy moments. Smile in them. Lean back and rest in them. Think not of the next moment but only of the one you are currently in. When you are always on the go like I am, it’s hard at times to remember to live in each moment. Life and living it will escape us if we do not take time to mindfully live. I mean purposefully, deliberately without reservations, mindfully live life.
There will always be people who will abuse your heart. Abuse your kindness and your ability to continuously forgive. They believe you are weak not realizing that you are one of the strongest person they know and that the flaw is within them.
Have you ever had so much going on in your mind where you just wanted to get it out in the best way possible? We live in a world, a world that we must share with others. Unless we have withdrawn ourselves from the entire world, we must come in contact with people.
Do you support small businesses? I often wonder why it sometimes takes small businesses so long to get to the next level. .. The answer is simple, many people do not support small businesses. They are constantly chasing the big name brands, paying absurd amounts of money and at times for products that no longer have great quality.
The hair journey has not been the easiest especially since my decision to go natural a few years ago. Never the less it has been an adventure.
Who ever said marriage was a fairy tale lied! It is far from it. Now don’t get me wrong… Marriage is beautiful, it is euphoric at times, like a perfect spring day. Ready to give to you all its perfection. At other times, it is intensely difficult, like navigating your way through a foreign country of which you do not speak the language. Oh and then there are times when its neither a place of triumph or defeat but instead a place that is almost indescribable…, its dry and desolate and at the same time lush and happy… marriage is everything one hopes it will be and at times everything one hopes it would never be.

As I look at this picture, I think of the chair, how almost raggedy, unbecoming and out of place it looks, compared to me and my attire. My smile is radiant, I am sitting upright; confident, my hair is well done, my dress hugs me well and shimmers for the season and my shoes and accessories compliment. I think to myself, why didn’t I find a better chair to sit in?
